The fund-raiser was very successful using only 17 of the 30 buckets that were donated. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of the Pember.

Here are photos of the sap buckets donated to the Pember for the fund-raising auction which will be taking place at the Salem Court House on Saturday, March 28.

Only a portion of these will be in the auction on Saturday. The remaining buckets will be auctioned off at a later date as part of the Pember’s 100th anniversary celebration.

The auction begins at 6 PM with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash wine bar at 5PM. There is no admission fee but there will be a $2 paddle charge for those wishing to bid on the buckets.

I have my favorites. Which one(s) do you like best?

We will have an early evening Thursday Tall Tales program as well as our new Fireside Story Time on Saturdays.

The scouts from Girl Scout Troop 3218 will be the hosts for four Story Times in April and May. Jo-ann will be reading for  the other Thursday Tall Tales programs.

Look forward to stories using a flannel board and puppets. We also have one program planned which will be a sing-a-long.

It isn’t necessary to register for the programs. For additional information, call the library (642-2525) or ask at the desk.

The next meeting of the Friends will take place in the main room of the library. We will discuss the spring paperback book sale that will be held Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the main room of the library.

We will also be making plans for our huge summer book sale which will be held at the Granville Central School Junior-Senior High School cafeteria. Plans are currently to have the sale on July 10-11 with setup on July 8 & 9.

Linda will provide stories, crafts and more during the Saturday morning program to welcome spring.

It’s about time!

Join us on Saturday mornings for Fireside Story Time.  Pat O, MaryLou O, and Robyn L will each host one of the story times in March. Anyone else who would like to volunteer some time to read to the children, please give a call to the library and we will work you in to our schedule.

Stories will be read near the fireplace in the main room with plenty of room for children and their caregivers to sit on the floor nearby.  We look forward to you joining us!
