Advanced beginner computer classes
Advance beginner computer classes for senior citizens (over age 55) will once again be offered thanks to a grant from The Washington County Home for Aged Women. Barbara Young will teach four 1 1/2 hour sessions November 9, 10, 16, & 18. Sign up now to get a place in the class. The class size is limited to eight people.

Help us help our neighboring public libraries recover from Hurricane Irene!
The Schoharie  Free Library and the Middleburgh Library in Schoharie County need your help to rebuild their recently damaged book collections. Schoharie Library lost the bottom three shelves throughout and Middleburgh lost the bottom one plus shelves due to Hurricane Irene damage. Three local independent bookstores have established funds to help them purchase replacement titles. Your donations in any dollar amount will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to Lakes Region Radio for sharing this information with us. FEMA is a federal agency so this info applies to people in New York also. Quilling
Pat O will teach us more quilling or feel free to join us if you have a project you are working on and just like to chat while you are crafting. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. Pre-registration is not required, materials provided. A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Pember Library and Museum will be held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Pember. This is a regular meeting and open to the public.
Readers needed for Saturday Fireside Stories
The Fireside Stories program needs readers for Saturday mornings from 10:30 to about 11:00 AM. Please forward this to anyone you think may be willing to read once a month. I need a reader for August 27. We have several books about forgiveness and saying ‘sorry.’ We also need someone for September 17, chickens and September 24, autumn. We have themes picked out for October, November  & December.
