Pember Library

Plants are on sale at the library. Prices range from $2.00 – $15.00.

There are some vegetable plants (tomatoes, cabbage, etc.), a few herbs (chocolate mint, & parsley) and lovely flowers.  There’s still time to add some great looking plants to your garden or pretty up your porch with a hanging basket!

The annual Friends of the Pember Library Book Sale will take place at the Mary J Tanner School on Route 22 in Middle Granville. There will be thousands of books available. Most hardcover books will be $1.00 and paperbacks for $.25. Newer or special books will be individually priced.

On Saturday from 1pm to 3 pm will be our $1.00 per bag sale using bags we provide.

I removed some of the photos to make it easier on folks with slow connections. The photos are still available if someone wants to see a pic of one of the buckets.

The fund-raiser was very successful using only 17 of the 30 buckets that were donated. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of the Pember.

Here are photos of the sap buckets donated to the Pember for the fund-raising auction which will be taking place at the Salem Court House on Saturday, March 28.

Only a portion of these will be in the auction on Saturday. The remaining buckets will be auctioned off at a later date as part of the Pember’s 100th anniversary celebration.

The auction begins at 6 PM with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash wine bar at 5PM. There is no admission fee but there will be a $2 paddle charge for those wishing to bid on the buckets.

The Friends of the Pember Library will host a spring paperback book sale Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the main room of the Pember Library. All paperback books will be $.25. Paperbacks for adults and children will be available.

Donate your gently used paperbacks to the library. Now is the time to clean out your paperback shelves so you will have room for all the books you will find at our sale!

Donations are accepted at any time the library is open. If you have large amounts of books to donate, it would be best to call ahead so we can have someone on hand to help unload your vehicle. For information, call 642-2525.
