Quilling class
The quilling classes have been well attended. Two more classes are planned for February. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. Pre-registration is not required, materials provided. How are we doing?
I was checking over the NY Times Best Sellers lists and comparing it to the Pember Library holdings. For the top 35 hardcover fiction, 29 are available at our library with 22 books in regular print, 7 in large text and 7 on audio book. Eight of the titles are available through our downloadable audio book service, SALON. Several of the books are available in more than one format. Of the top 16, only one is not available at the …
Knit-in continues
We will continue to have a “knit-in” group at the library. People can come in every Friday (2PM) and work on their knit or crochet projects and get help or encouragement or just have someone to chat with while they work. We have a pattern and yarn to begin the “lapghan’ for the Haynes House.  If my calculations are correct, we should have enough yarn to make a second one that will then be raffled off for the library.
