Seascapes, Jewelry and Puppets Friday, June 3 – 7-9 pm
June First Friday at the Pember Library and Museum in Granville, NY will feature the work of artist Patti Weisser. After a career of 25 years in the healing arts, Patti recently returned to her passion for painting. “I so love to paint,” she said. “When I started spending winters in the beautiful Caribbean color of Mexico, I was inspired to paint like never before. My paintings are mostly seascapes and landscapes.”
Patti will also have some of her latest jewelry designs of semi precious stones and sterling silver at the show.
Granville sixth graders will be back with more “No Strings” stick puppets. The new puppets are the ongoing inspiration of a puppet making workshop coordinated by June Brown and Vermont’s No Strings Marionette Company. The puppets are the student’s final school project before graduating and one they all look forward to!
Musicians Stephen Havel, Mark Catman, Greg Colm and heavyweight Carl “Kitz” Weathers will be playing together as a group at the Pember, performing an eclectic mix of favorites and improvisation.
Food and refreshments will be available. Free event. Hope to see you there!
A stone’s throw across the beautiful Mettowee River, the Slate Valley Museum will be holding Fly Fishing 101 for First Friday. There will be demonstrations of fly tying and casting along with lessons and fishy crafts for the kids.
