Jennifer Dashef’s class will be showing ” Elementary Art”, 25 pieces of tessellations, prints, pastel drawings, and watercolor paintings; and June Brown’s sixth-graders will fill the Library with 75 puppets of their creation, based on a character of their choice from books they have read. The technique of their puppet-making derives from a prior workshop by Ms. Brown and Vermont’s No Strings Marionette Company.
“The children’s art and puppets have always surprised and delighted our audiences,” said Pember board president, Mary King. “Everyone is looking forward to this year’s show.” The exhibit will remain on display for part of the month of June.
A play list of specially selected recorded music will accompany the exhibit. First Friday is June 1, from 7 to 9 pm and is a free event.
