The Pember Library received 67 new books for toddlers through high school in July. The books were awarded to the library through the Libri Foundation of Eugene, Oregon “Books for Children Grant.” The grant is a matching funds grant in which the library can receive up to $1050 worth of books provided they raise one third of the cost outside of the library’s regular budget process. The Friends of the Pember Library and the Slate Valley Garden Club will again join together to present their annual Books, Buns, and Bouquets Sale. The event will take place at the Mary J. Tanner School on Rte. 22 in Middle Granville, NY on Friday and Saturday, July 13 and 14, beginning at 9:00 am both days. Many people are bringing us books for both the upcoming paperback sale and for the annual huge book sale in July. We sort the books and store them in the basement but we are running out of boxes! If you are able, please bring in a few boxes when you come in. Remember, we need to be able to lift them when they are full of books so medium size boxes are best. Thank you
