The Pember Library and Museum of Natural History Board of Directors would like to invite you to a public reception introducing John Hess.
John is from Arlington, Vermont and has been hired to the newly created position of Director for the institution. The Board felt that one person embracing the three parts of the Pember was the right way to proceed. John had a previous history with the Pember in the early 1990’s when he served as a naturalist and educator for the museum and the Pember Preserve (located in Hebron). He went on to further his career, obtaining a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in Geology, both from Castleton State College. He is currently working on the completion of a Certificate of Public Librarianship program administered through the Vermont Department of Libraries. He has completed the core courses covering 100 of 150 required credits including: Basic Public Library Administration, Collection Development, Cataloging, and Information/Reference Services.
We would love to have you come and meet him at a public reception and open house being held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 6-8 PM at the Pember.
The hiring of Mr. Hess is a part of the reorganizational process currently underway at the Pember.
Check out all the Pember has to offer and socialize with John and the Pember Board.
