We will continue to have a “knit-in” group at the library. People can come in every Friday (2PM) and work on their knit or crochet projects and get help or encouragement or just have someone to chat with while they work. We have a pattern and yarn to begin the “lapghan’ for the Haynes House. If my calculations are correct, we should have enough yarn to make a second one that will then be raffled off for the library. Pat Oathout will present additional classes on quilling January 14 and 28 at 6: 00 pm. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. Barb Young will again be teaching the popular “computers for seniors” at the Pember Library. Classes will run from 10:00AM to 11:30AM Mondays and Fridays from February 22 through March 5. Classes will cover internet and email, word processing, and using the library card catalog with databases. You must pre-register for the series of classes. Class size is limited to eight people.
