Fall Sale at the Pember

We have lots of VHS movies and audio books on cassette that didn’t make it to the summer sale. We will have a special sale of these items on September 29, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There may also be some paperbacks for sale. All proceeds will benefit the Pember book acquisition fund.

Pember Board Meeting

A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Pember Library and Museum will be held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Pember. This is a regular meeting and open to the public.

Friends of the Library to meet

There will be a meeting of the Friends of the Pember Library at 2:00 PM September 18. We will evaluate the book sale, plan future fundraising and hopefully have a volunteer to take the position of treasurer.

Pember Presents: Night Visitors

Taradiddle will once again entertain us with songs and stories following our summer reading theme of “Dream Big: Read” and “Own the Night” From the slightly spooky Strange Visitor to the definitely unpleasant Terrible Nung Guama, you never know who—or what—might come calling in the still of the night. New Books for Children

The Pember Library received 67 new books for toddlers through high school in July. The books were awarded to the library through the Libri Foundation of Eugene, Oregon “Books for Children Grant.” The grant is a matching funds grant in which the library can receive up to $1050 worth of books provided they raise one third of the cost outside of the library’s regular budget process. Movie Night

Stay tuned… We plan to have a movie at the Pember the third Friday of each month. We may add more movie times and children’s films once the program gets established. Due to licensing restrictions, we can’t list the titles we will be showing online but there will be posters and bookmarks in the library. We plan to alternate classics with newer releases.
