Library closed

With maintenance continuing on our carpet we unfortunately will be closed on Tuesday. If you had anything due on the closed days do not worry, we will update the system and due days will change to next day we are open. The library will reopen on Wednesday at 1pm.

December 2 Tree Lighting

December 2 – Granville Tree lighting The library will be open from 10-4 and the Museum 1-4. We will be closed from 4-5 for preparation to reopen 5-8 for the tree lighting in the Veterans Park. The museum will be open for visitation. The library will have snacks, hot cocoa and a kid’s craft activity table. Also, the Pember’s Naturalist Katie will have a table in the library

Meet the Author

The Pember welcomes author Kevin Wilson who wrote the book Sully’s Squad. The book is a novel about a moving World War II epic told through the eyes of a 15 year old Arty, from Saratoga who lies about his age to enlist. The story is inspired by the author’s uncle, from Granville, Sergeant Fringi who served in the 1st Infantry Division in North Africa and Sicily until he was killed in action on July 21. 1943. He had just turned 21 only a few days earlier. Kevin grew up in both Granville and Saratoga. He graduated from Siena College and is a Healthcare Administrator with a Certified Public Accountant designation. He still resides in the Capital District and enjoys telling stories based on reality about World War II.The event will be held on November 4, 2022 at 4:00 PM at the Pember Library. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
