The Pember Library Presents “Read It & Eat” a new twist on the same old Book Club.
Join us at the library September 15th at 5pm; we will be discussing “Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years” by Sarah and Elizabeth Delaney. We will share a dinner consisting of recipes based on the book. The Delany sisters speak their mind on a variety of topics and memories from their incredible lives. They reflect on their rich family life and their careers as pioneering African American professionals. And they are wise: Sadie says, “Life is short, and it’s up to you to make it sweet.”
If interested, please pick up a copy of the book from the library and sign up to make a dish to pass. This is the second in a series of dinner discussions. This is an adult program and you must sign up to attend. For more information, see Ardyce or Kris at the Pember Library or call us at 642-2525.
