Toys for Tots

UPDATE: as of 12-18-12 ~ The Toys for Tots collection has been picked up. Check with your local church if you still have items to donate. We are a collection station for Toys for Tots. Bring new, unwrapped toys to the Pember. The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community …

Thanksgiving Holiday

The Library will be closing at 6:00pm on Wednesday, November 21 and will be closed for Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Tuesday, November 27 at 9:00 AM for our regular hours next week.

2012 Annual Dinner and Silent Auction

We are planning our annual dinner and silent auction which will be held at the Lake St Catherine Country Club. We are seeking donations of products or services that can be auctioned to raise funds for general operating costs. All donations are tax deductible. Movie Night

Stay tuned… We plan to have a movie at the Pember the third Friday of each month. We may add more movie times and children’s films once the program gets established. Due to licensing restrictions, we can’t list the titles we will be showing online but there will be posters and bookmarks in the library. We plan to alternate classics with newer releases. Tax Forms

We have basic NYS tax forms available at the library free of charge. We also have a binder with additional NYS forms that you can photocopy at $.15 per scan. (Forms and binder are located on the bottom shelf near the new and 7-day books.) Or you can go to http://www.tax.ny.gov/forms/ to get all NYS forms ($.25 per page if you use our printers and ink). Help us help our neighboring public libraries recover from Hurricane Irene!

The Schoharie Free Library and the Middleburgh Library in Schoharie County need your help to rebuild their recently damaged book collections. Schoharie Library lost the bottom three shelves throughout and Middleburgh lost the bottom one plus shelves due to Hurricane Irene damage.
