Taradiddle will once again entertain us with songs and stories following our summer reading theme of “Dream Big: Read” and “Own the Night”
From the slightly spooky Strange Visitor to the definitely unpleasant Terrible Nung Guama, you never know who—or what—might come calling in the still of the night. (Don’t be overly alarmed—Santa is the most famous night visitor of all, you know!) Storytelling duo Taradiddle will bring tales and tunes of Night Visitors to the Pember Library on Thursday, August 30th at 6:00PM in an interactive program for the whole family. Price of admission? One knock-knock joke!
Storytelling duo Jean Roberts and Daphne Bartholomew (Taradiddle) are former public librarians with over 20 years experience sharing tales and tunes in library and school settings—from a summer program in the tiniest library to a literacy celebration in a school gym. The audience is always invited to join in as Daphne and Jean weave together stories and songs from sources old and new into engaging, theme-based programs. Their goal is to reintroduce children and families to the pleasures of live performance and their favorite compliment is when a parent or child reports passing on a story first heard at a Taradiddle event.
