Fireside Stories

Johanna Dekalb will be reading for our Fireside Stories this month. Join us for some fun stories and a craft on these Saturdays: October 2: Harvest October 9: Autumn Leaves October 16: Pumpkins October 30: Cats Suitable for pre-school to early elementary age children.

We have a display near the front door with all the children’s books we bought with money donated in memory of Genii McRoberts.

Book Club

The book club will be discussing Agatha Christie. Read any Christie mystery and come chat about it. Mary Frances suggests you might want to supplement your reading by attending the Dorset Theatre Festival’s production of her Murder on the Nile, July 28-August 15. http://www.dorsettheatrefestival.org/

Friends’ Book Sale continues

The Friends sold LOTS of books yesterday and the tables have been refilled and they are ready for today! For the best selection, be there from 9 am – noon. The $1.00/bag sale starts at 1:00 PM. Still a little bit of everything to choose from.

PBS Kids Raising Readers Library Corner

Join us June 26 at 10:30 AM for the grand opening of the Pember Library’s PBS Kids Raising Readers Library Corner. The Pember Library has joined forces with WMHT through the NYS Ready To Learn Statewide Planning Project to install a special, permanent spot in the library that gives children and families the opportunity to strengthen literacy skills through fun, engaging multi-media platforms. Donations and Volunteers needed for the book sale

The annual Friends of the Pember Library Book Sale will take place at the Mary J Tanner School on Route 22 in Middle Granville Friday and Saturday, July 9 and 10, beginning at 9:00 A.M. each day. There will be thousands of books available. Most hardcover books will be $1.00 and paperbacks for $.25. Newer or special books will be individually priced. On Saturday from 1pm to 3 pm will be our $1.00 per bag sale using bags we provide. …
