From Bernie: Well, Miss Lucy is back at home with me for 4 days. She will miss the library patrons. Lucy is in a much better mood this time. She is rollin in her litter box. Yes, it’s clean. She’s hiding out in the bathroom next to my spare cage, looking out windows, and getting in my lap. She got her brushing for the day. Tomorrow…nails trimmed! At 4am I found her sitting on the toilet tank looking out the window. I think she saw our deer. Ardyce will post photos.

From Bernie:

Took Lucy home with me for the holidays to spare her the loneliness of the library. She was quiet on the ride. Got home, hissed at all my cats and hid by the dryer. I dragged her out, kicking and screaming. She’s now camping under my bed. I tried to comfort her but she charged at me hissing, growling & claws out. Her litter pan and food close by. It’s only the 1st night. It will get better.

Barb is retiring

Today will be Barb’s last day working at the Pember.  Stop in and wish her well on her second retirement! She plans to travel some and relax and, of course, read. She will still be teaching the ‘Computers for Seniors’ classes and I’m sure she’ll stop in once in a while to replenish her supply of books.

Pember Board Meeting

A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Pember Library and Museum will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Pember. This is a regular meeting and open to the public.

Fireside stories

We won’t have a story time on December 4 because of the Holiday Book Sale.

Our story time on December 11 will be Knuffle Bunny stories by Mo Willems. Learn about Trixie and her friend Knuffle Bunny who goes everywhere (?) with her.

Our Learn with Linda program for December will be holiday stories, snacks, crafts and more.
