We will close early (6PM) the evening before Thanksgiving and be open our regular hours on Friday and Saturday.
Pember Board Meeting
A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Pember Library and Museum will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Pember. This is a regular meeting and open to the public.
Holiday Book Sale
Mark your calendars now for the first-ever Friends of the Pember Library Holiday Book Sale. The sale will be held Saturday, December 4, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Pember Library, 33 West Main St. in Granville. Just in time for holiday shopping, we’ll have a selection of gift-quality books for the book lover on your holiday shopping list.
Prices will range from $1.00 to $25.00. There will be over 300 new or nearly new items including fiction, nonfiction, childrens’ books, oversize/coffee table books, “Twilight” t-shirts and puzzles, and other gift-able items. There will be cat books, dog books, books of local interest, vampire books, art books, young adult books, stories ranging from Scooby-Doo to Shakespeare, and much more. There is even a lump of coal to fit in someone’s stocking!
We will also be raffling off a Northshire Bookstore gift certificate.
Stop by for some great deals on books just in time for the holidays! All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Pember Library.
Card making class
Save money by making your own cards and tags. We will have a class in card making with the focus on the upcoming holidays. There will be a $1.00 per card fee. Please bring glue, tape runner, or adhesive.
Sign up at the library so we can plan for supplies. We will add a second class if there is enough interest.
First Friday November 2010
Our featured artists, Beth Elam, Tony Mesaric and Bob Dienst. Their work is still on display at the Pember. Beth does quilting, Tony works with wood to make bowls, and Bob sculpts in copper.
Quilling classes
Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. Pre-registration is not required, materials provided. This fall we will be working on an advanced project. For information, call 518-642-2525.

November 20 – Linda will have a Thanksgiving program complete with snacks and crafts.
November 27 – Grandma PatO will read stories about hibernation.
Lucy’s Birthday
In celebration of Lucy’s fourth birthday, the Rutland Animal Shelter will be here. There may be some kittens here who are waiting to be adopted and maybe a puppy looking for a home.
In lieu of gifts, please bring donations for the shelter:

We will also accept cash donations to buy kitty litter and nutritious food for Lucy.
